Stainless steel wing seals
For the most demanding applications such as mounting signs with wing seals, stainless steel is the material of choice as it is corrosion resistant, durable and able to endure for many years.
Stainless steel wing seals are a great option where light gauge banding is being used and, particularly, when that banding needs to be secured at awkward positions.
Best applications for light gauge banding
With light gauge banding, stainless steel wing seals provide a very good hold and can be easily affixed to any stainless steel banding with nothing more than a hammer. They are ideal solutions as many of the applications for which stainless steel banding in lighter gauges is used involve materials that may be light and awkward to work with. The stainless steel wing seals mean that the banding can be safely fastened without having to worry about providing a flat surface for a banding tool to operate.Stainless steel wing seals also provide a great deal of flexibility. They come in all the different grades of stainless steel, which means that they are ideal for any application.

201 SteelWing seals made from 201 stainless steel are a great choice for most applications. It's affordable, durable and can hold up to the worst that nature can dish out. This makes it suitable for the vast majority of applications and municipalities, lumberyards, retail stores and most warehouses will find it up to their uses.
304 Steel
When things are a bit more corrosive as far as the environment is concerned, 304 stainless steel wing seals are great choices. This stainless steel is very corrosion resistant. When you're dealing with an environment where materials are under attack by chemicals and other hazards, you'll want something a bit tougher than 201 and this is it.
316 Steel
For the absolutely most trying of all situations, 316 stainless steel wing seals are suitable. If you're in a refinery, a chemical plant or some other situation where you need materials that just do not corrode easily, this is what you're looking for. It can hold up to very strong environmental attacks and can provide long-term storage and other use in these scenarios. This grade of stainless steel is the most expensive but, for those applications where the steel is constantly under attack, it is the most desirable.
